1- حذف ترجمه (   a/an   ) به معنای «یک »

         در سال های اخیر ، به تقلید از زبان های فرنگی ،غالباً یک را نه برای امر واحد بلکه برای امر کلی به کار می برند  مثلاً هنگامی که می گویند : « یک ایرانی باید از وطنش دفاع کند »، مقصودشان این است که دفاع از وطن فقط بر عهده ی یک تن از افراد ایرانی است، بلکه در حقیقت می خواهند بگویند که « هر ایرانی باید از وطنش دفاع کند » و بنابر این استعمال «یک» در اینجا غلط است، زیرا در زبان فارسی هرگـــز یک به معنای هـــر بکار نرفته است. و نیز این جمله ی :« یک مسلمان دروغ را گناه می داند»‌غلط است ، زیرا مسلماً دو یا بیش از دو مسلمان نیز دروغ را گناه می دانند.

2  - حذف ترجمــه ی (  as )

 ◙ این کلمه با افعالی نظیر: describe, regard, see, address  جزء جدا نشدنی آنها محسوب می شود.

◙ هنگام ترجمه ی این افعال ، کلمه as) )  را در برگردان به فارسی حذف می کنیم.

ترکیب « به عنوان » عبارت زایدی است که ناشی از ترجمه ی لفظ به لفظ است.

این عبارت همراه ترکیب فعلی « تلقی کردن»  و فعلهای « شمردن و انگاشتن و مرادفهای آنها به کار می رود.

مثالهای زیر نمونه ای از این مقوله است که از منابع مختلف گرفته شده است:

♣ خود را به عنوان یک شخصیت مهم تلقی می کند.

♣ من جواب او را به عنوان رد پیشنهادم تلقی می کنم.

♣ می توان این کار را به عنوان تمام شده تلقی کرد.

♣ زبان را دانشمندان به عنوان یک نظام اجتماعی مس شناسند.

♣ از هم اکنون خبرنگار مفقودالاثر را به عنوان مرده می انگارند.

 1. He described the situation of the city as critical.

2. Most people regard him as a great leader.

3. He used to address John as “ my son “.

4. He saw my father as a courageous man.

5. The police described him as a dangerous criminal.

      - حذف ترجمه ی ( in  )

1. I arrived in London on Sunday.
